 Perhaps the most beautiful modern structure in all of Medellin, the Orchideorama events center in the Jardin Botanico is made of a series of huge roof structures, and underneath events such as weddings, large parties, shows etc are held.

The Palacio de la Cultura Rafael Uribe Uribe, is an iconic structure known to tourists as the “Beetlejuice Building” because of its use of alternating black and white blocks, which reminds one of the design theme used in Tim Burton’s movie.

This spectacular old building is part of Botero Plaza, and can be seen from the public metro system as you pass through the city.

The Palacio is a public events space, for various concerts, workshops, art exhibits, and more.
